Packing Planner PRO App Reviews

This app badly designed- heres the issues: 1. No main categories list to create categories! (Can only create a trip and then access categories via the trip you created, which is bizarre) 2. Once you create a category, you CANNOT rename it! So if you misspelled it or want to rename it, youre out of luck and must create it again and every item in it 3. You CANNOT move items from one category to another (and this is what makes this app the most useless) You cant even duplicate list items either. Why?? 4. Anytime you create a list item, its automatically added to my trip list. But what if im adding stuff I have on hand but may not be wanting on my current trip? Its added anyways unless I select "0" as the item count. There should be a way to change defaults. 5. Very little config you can do (since theres very little you can do in the app anyway) 6. No way to export or import lists. No desktop app. Would be much easier to create lists if you could type in a real computer and then import of sync it rather than trying to type on your iPhone for everything. 7. Cannot reorder items! This is the other dealbreaker- if you cant move things up or down to prioritize it, whats the point of having a packing list? 8. Cant swipe delete on anything to erase. 9. Crap set of icons to assign to categories. Cant use your own. Overall, an app that looks nice on the outside, but under the hood, this is an Alpha program thats not quite even ready for Beta. Look at Packing Pro, which does all of the above and a whole lot more. Costs a little more but definitely worth the money.

This is a great idea. You can create your own master lists of all the stuff you might want to take, then add these items or not on a per trip basis. The other reviewer was incorrect - you can add items and categories. But, this is cumbersome. Theres no way to quickly add a number of items to a category. And the categories are hard to edit and not in any order. So, negative points for being a pain in the rear to customize.

My advice, scrap the add item, just make a suggest item as you add an item and automatically add it. Having to create a new item is silly. Also, many times I want to use the same pack list, dont force me to add a date. Simpler is better. Ill update my rating if things improve.
